Mothers Network Governance Group
After a revamp of our brand, logo and key messages in 2019, and working through the ups and downs of the disruptions over the past two years, Mothers Network is excited to take our organisation to the next level but we require additional governance members to help us achieve our full potential.
Looking ahead, our focus is on expanding the organisation’s impact through reaching many more women experiencing motherhood. We will do this by making use of new technologies, considering social enterprise models, and also by specialising our groups and facilitators to serve a broader range of women who need our services, including Maori whanau, Refugee and ESL or bilingual groups.
Mothers Network is seeking to appoint three to four new governance members, one to replace our Strategic Treasurer, one to carry the role of Secretary and one to two others to support the operational functions of the organisation. Current members have been taken from previous group attendees and from interested members of the community. We expect these new appointments to be an open and competitive process.
Prior governance experience is not necessary, but the ability to work well in a team, commitment to action and the ability to think strategically is essential.
