Melanie grew up in Northland on a dairy farm and then gained a BSocSci at Waikato Uni, where she met her husband Rob.  After a few years working in Wellington, Rob and Melanie grabbed the tail of the Irish Celtic tiger and did their OE in Dublin.  They came home with a 3 year old daughter with titan coloured hair in 2006, and have since had two more red-headed beauties.
Melanie’s previous paid employment has been in administrative roles working in HR and export.  While being a stay-at-home mum, she has worked in the volunteer sector including on committees for her children’s playgroups and Kindergartens.
She loves connecting people and says that working for Mothers’ Network is like her dream job.  She has quickly become passionate about the benefits that our groups provide mums.  Melanie enjoys bush walks and reading trashy novels and is addicted to Radio NZ National.  In her precious child-free time, she tries to get out on her mountain bike.  Attached is a photo of Melanie and her hero, her mother, on a bush walk.
