![]() Ruth spent her childhood in Switzerland and her teens in the UK where she completed her Uni degree at Durham University. From there she pursued an Advertising agency career in London and met her husband Andrew over coffee and muffins in the office corridor. She followed Andrew to Sydney for the 2003 Rugby World Cup, and they stayed for seven years. She continued to work in the Advertising industry while living at the beach in Manly. They fell in love with the Antipodean lifestyle and became Australian citizens. They moved to Auckland for Andrew’s work in 2009 where their first child Isaac was born. As a stay at home mum Ruth discovered what a wonderful place New Zealand is to raise children. Two years later they moved again to Wellington and found themselves in a new town once more and expecting their second child. At this time Ruth had the fortune to discover Mothers Network and joined a group, benefiting from the contact and support this gave her at an otherwise lonely time. Two years later with her baby girl Lois now 18 months old it felt right to get back to working and she was offered the job of her dreams – coordinating groups for Mothers Network. |
